A6m vs Kitty/Warhawk... I'm sorry, but I'll ake the Mitsu. If they had self-sealing fuel tanks we'd have been in a lot more trouble around those aircraft than we were. They had bigger guns and... O.K. that's enough. P.S. 'Murica

It was over when the Hellcat showed up. But yeah Kittyhawk wasn't as good, but if you knew what you were doing. Removing Zeroes was doable.

Agreed. The best pilot will always beat a better aircraft. Hawk vs. Zero took some brains, but it could definitely be done. Ahhhhhh... metal vs. metal I swill want the A6M against the Hellcat, but force vs. force - I'll stick with 'Murica. If you give two pilots 15km of clear sky - I still want the Zero. Give me real world, real war conditions - Hellcat EVERY time.
